An intact environment is precious and absolutely worth protecting. It is the only way to give us and all future generations the chance of a healthy future. And that's why we see it as our duty to get involved here and take ecological responsibility. In case the CO₂ emissions cannot be avoided, we make it possible to compensate these. Therefore, we found a certified partner - the World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF).
Simply Compensate
At GBC, avoiding emissions is of course our top goal - sustainability takes a very high priority. And thus it is not enough for us to just save resources. We have set ourselves the goal of becoming climate neutral. As a customer, you can support us in this effort - in an easy and voluntary way.
For this purpose, we offer some products with the "CO₂ compensation payment" option. If you wish to make your contribution to climate neutrality, click on this button. You will then pay a slightly higher price for the product. The amount of the compensation payment is determined based on the amount of CO₂ emitted during the entire value chain.
This includes everything from transport of materials, disposal or even recycling of waste materials, to the energy requirements of both machines and buildings. This and even more is the basis for calculating the specific CO₂ emissions for each product. With your additional contribution, this can be compensated.
GBC passes on your additional payments without any deductions to selected and certified climate protection projects. Together, this allows us to make a compensation and to protect our climate.

To us your compensation payment is worth a lot. Which is why we have spared no effort in finding the right partner - the World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF).
Only with a certified partner can we be sure the funds will be used in the right way. The WWF enables you to support a wide variety of projects. At WWF, nature conservation and environmental protection moved beyond the simple protection of species and land. "Conservation" is now one of the most important tasks and covers everything from climate protection to the fight against poverty.
We give support worldwide and all our projects have one thing in common - they have a long-term impact.

After all, sustainability is on everyone's lips today - at GBC, it has become an everyday reality. It is important to us to respond to our current needs while at the same time respecting the interests of future generations.
We keep transport distances as short as possible and at the same time have our products manufactured under strict standards.
We rely on certified manufacturers who meet our high standards for working conditions and environmental protection, as well as product quality.
At GBC, sustainability means more than just environmental protection. Our actions are guided by the sustainability triangle based on these three important pillars: ecology, social issues and economy.
Every re-use of packaging avoids the need to produce a new one.
Even damaged and ripped cartons don't just end up in the trash with us.
Using the shredding machine in our on-site warehouse, we process them into filling material and thereby also recycle them. We do not simply trash cardboard boxes, but rather sustainably recycle and reuse them.

As often as possible, we send packages in boxes that have already been used. That doesn't always look great,
but it is sustainability at its best.

nevertheless excellently packaged and well protected.
Concept of Sustainability
Our team reduces the consumption of poly bags, minimizes packaging, works paperless and our print shop uses ecological inks, which are sourced from partners in the region.
We obtain electricity from the sun in Rhine-Hesse via our solar plants and use it to power our forklifts in the warehouse as well as the electric cars in our fleet. We use our sustainability key performance indicator system to monitor the effectiveness of our efforts.
Sustainability is something we live in all areas, and to ensure that we continue to follow this sustainable approach, we had our environmental management system certified according to ISO 14001.
